I am beginning my nursing journey in October of 2016 as a pediatric nurse resident at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP)!

I will be working on an acute rehabilitation floor – which is basically a floor for any child who needs intense rehabilitation (PT, OT, speech therapy, etc.) but are too sick to live at home. The patients we see include anything from brain injuries (including hypoxic injuries & hematoma), spinal cord injuries, encephalitis, de-conditioning illnesses, oncological patients, trauma… pretty much everything!

We like to call it a pediatric “med-surg” floor with kids who happen to need rehabilitation.

I plan on posting my journey my orientation, residency and thorough nursing journey.
